By tying the two sides of the hatch together and giving the driver the ability to fine tune the preload on the brace, snap oversteer is reduced while the handling of the chassis is greatly improved. In testing we found this location to be in critical need of reinforcement as the rear suspension geometry would shift under cornering leading to rear end float when the car is pushed hard. Prevent snap oversteer with this simple bolt on brace.

Great addition

I've been looking for the perfect addition to my corolla sxe hatch to help give a little more stability while driving. My daily commute is out on windy country roads with lots of elevation change and no shoulder/room for error. I've been wanting something to help stiffen the car up, but not break the bank and so far this is a great addition. Installation was pretty straight forward and not very time consuming. Looks great too and doesn't take away from any use of the trunk. I look forward to getting other products for my car in the future.

Helps Stiffen the Rear

Definitely helps stiffen the rear of the car. Would definitely recommend a ratcheting wrench to help tighten it down in the tight space.

Last piece to my chassis stiffness

For years I thought this piece was only for the hatchback and a few weeks ago I was checking out TB Performance swag and new stuff for other platforms and checked the trunk brace thinking maybe i can make it for and finally read "and fits sedans".
I ordered it immediately and now that it's installed, felt the difference on the first hard turn. We'll worth it.

Great subtle improvement

Installed product, and right away can feel the difference in the rear of vehicle more in control. Price a little more than expected, but product works.
Would be even better if the main bar has grooves made for a wrench or plyers to grip and tighten beyond hand tightening.

GR Corolla Front Strut Brace

The strut brace is great, but it needs a few tweaks. The brackets that attach the bar to the strut towers should be redesigned. They interfere with the metal tray under the plastic wiper cowl, and the ability to install the outer 2 clips that hold the plastic wiper cowl to the metal tray below it. The bolts that the strut bar mount to should also be welded about 1/4" closer to the windshield as the bar rubs the engine cover. If that was done in conjunction with a slightly smaller diameter bar that was equally stiff, this would be perfect. It just needs a little work still. It does look fantastic and I love the improvement it makes.

Great looking rear strut brace.

I love how solid the rear strut brace is in my 23 GR Corolla. It looks great but I do wish that the bracket was a lot more stout. It seems flimsy where it bolts the car body. Other than that, it's fantastic.

My wife has a stock 2018 Corolla IM. Nothing is upgraded. I drove it around and tried to zip it through some turns, and it felt squishy. If you sharp left turned it, it would throw you to the right. Vice versa. I was looking for a rear sway bar but had no luck.
Bought this for my wife, installed it, took it for some turns, and wow, this mid brace made a big difference. You can zip through turns easier while feeling like your planted flatter to the ground, and this will be a much safer vehicle now with the better handling from this mid chassis brace.
