Ford Fiesta ST Crossmember Brace Installation Guide
Congrats on purchasing your crossmember brace! In an hour youll have this brace on and be ready to tackle any back road or road course!
Step 1.) Put your car on jacks or ramps. You only need the front in the air to gain access to this area
Step 2.) Locate the factory strap metal braces connecting the subframe to the unibody. These are held on by 4 bolts.
Step 3.) Remove the 4 bolts using a 13mm socket wrench.
Step 4.) Slip the brace on and reinstall the oem hardware. We recommend leaving the bolts loose until all 4 are in and then tightening the brace. There is no torque spec for these bolts. Simply tighten them down nice and snug with your socket wrench.
Step 5.) Take a picture for instagram and tag us @tb_performance_products ;)
Step 6.) Remove your car from ramps or stands.
Step 7.) Go enjoy your new brace on your favorite back road!
Notes:
-If you get clunking noises, this brace is not likely to be the cause unless you grossly undertightened the bolts. Common areas for clunking noises are end links, sway bar mounts, sway bar bushings, strut hat bushings, ball joints. We have never had this brace cause noises so check elsewhere.
-if you have issues with installation check the TB Performance Products Army Facebook page! There are loads of customers who have installed these parts and can help you out.
-You will NOT need an alignment after this install.
