The strut towers on the Corolla GR are prone to deflection and shifting which causes sloppy and imprecise handling, especially with all that power. The TB Strut Bar braces this critical junction and improves handling, steering feedback, and driver confidence. If handling is your priority, upgrading your chassis with a strut tower brace is critical! Do not settle for the flimsy aluminum braces from legacy vendors with designs from the 90s, Get the best for your GR!

Looks nice, not that stiff

As mentioned in other reviews, while the bar itself is very stiff, the plates that mount to the strut tower are thin and only use one of the main bolts, so they are not very stiff. That's the compromise of it fitting without any cutting.

Solid craftsmanship!!!

The build, the welds, the hardware of this bar is SOLID!!!! overall the one "weak" part of this bar is probably the mounting plates/bracket but it's no by no means weak. After installation I grabbed the bar and shaked it, the bar did not felt like it moved at all, the brackets did its job. Only the car shaked. If that's not built tough then I don't know what is.

Solid buy but not perfection

Overall it does what I expected out of the strut brace but I can't help but feel like it could do just a little more if the brackets were designed differently. There are 3 substantial bolts that the brace could attach to on each side but instead of attaching to multiple of these on both sides they only attach to one each and then there's a small screw that goes through the other hole, So really all of the rigidity for the brace is riding on two bolts.

GR Corolla Front Strut Brace

The strut brace is great, but it needs a few tweaks. The brackets that attach the bar to the strut towers should be redesigned. They interfere with the metal tray under the plastic wiper cowl, and the ability to install the outer 2 clips that hold the plastic wiper cowl to the metal tray below it. The bolts that the strut bar mount to should also be welded about 1/4" closer to the windshield as the bar rubs the engine cover. If that was done in conjunction with a slightly smaller diameter bar that was equally stiff, this would be perfect. It just needs a little work still. It does look fantastic and I love the improvement it makes.
