Ford Fiesta ST 2 Point Traction Bar Installation Guide

Fiesta ST Traction Bar Installation Guide

The 2 point traction bar is a pretty straight forward install and should take an or hour two depending on your skill set and how strong you are. The biggest hurdle is breaking the oem bolts loose. These are on there with some pressure and an impact makes this much easier, but a breaker bar and sufficient force will also work.

1.) Put your vehicle in the air via a set of ramps. You'll want to have your car on ramps because the  suspension must be loaded during installation.

2.) With the car on ramps we can see the two horizontal Lower Control Arm bolts. Remove these two  bolts. Warning: sometimes these bolts are EXTREMELY tight. be ready with an air impact gun or your  favorite redneck that runs on nicotine and hate with a breaker bar.

3.) Bolt the traction bar on ensuring that you have enough clearance between your charge pipes. While  not required, some people like to replace the oem bolts with new ones. Make sure the vehicle is on  ramps and the suspension is loaded.

4.) Torque both bolts down to 115 ft lbs. Again the suspension must be loaded to ensure you dont get  any popping noises.

5.) Go send it hard in the twisties!

Notes:
